At the heart of our patented, horizontal seed mixers is gravity.
Our seed mixers utilize a turning drum mounted on a slight incline, allowing seed to flow naturally to the back of the mixing drum where it is scooped up and dropped into the central auger, and then moved forward again.
Passive ribs disturb the outside of the feed load, creating a secondary mixing action, and all parts that come in contact with feed are finished with a “stick-resistant” super strong epoxy powder coating. Additionally, to reduce noise, the auger is encased in a heavy-wall PVC pipe.
With no reversing action or unnecessary moving parts, our seed mixers offer a gentle blending action with minimal maintenance required, plus a durable design that will last for years to come. Our seed mixers are available in sizes ranging from 38 cubic feet to 640 cubic feet, making them suitable for farms and commercial operations of all sizes.
Standard on every model are magnets on the chute and an efficient, easy-to-operate manual discharge door. The strong, quiet, synthetic idler for the main drive chain is fully adjustable, while the drum drive utilizes a spring-loaded idler. All bearings have grease fittings for easy, hassle-free maintenance, and oversized scoops are secured with stainless steel hardware for easy replacement when required.
The drum rollers are lubricated from the front of the mixer, and all bearings have remote grease zerks. A heavy 3/8″ thick neoprene seal keeps seed in the drum where it belongs.
Our seed mixers also come with various optional features, including scales with a digital readout that monitor total weight and provide guidance in adding vitamins and minerals.
